Frequently Asked Questions

What does a school holiday camp involve?

LinguaKidz school holiday camps run for 3 days for children aged 5-15 to learn language through fun and engaging communicative activities.

How is the school holiday program delivered?

All of our school holiday camp programs at LinguaKidz are delivered in person, in small groups to allow for rich interaction with both the camp leaders and other students.

Does my child need to bring anything to holiday camps?

Children should bring their own food for morning and lunch breaks, a water bottle, hat and a big smile, ready for a fun-filled and happy experience!

What times do the camp days operate?

Camp activities run from 9am-3pm daily.

What are the group sizes?

We work on a supervision ratio of 1:10 in our camps, with groups capped at 15 participants.

What if I need to cancel my camp or if my child is sick?

As mums ourselves we understand that plans may change or children may fall ill. Please contact us to discuss options. Generally if a request is received at least 48 hours before the first day of the originally booked camp, we can happily transfer your registration to a future camp or an online program. Refunds may be approved in special circumstances.

Who are the camp leaders?

Each LinguaKidz camp will have fluent language speakers who have relevant experience and hold a blue card for working with children. Every camp will also have First Aid certified and qualified language teachers as Camp Managers.

What happens if the camp is cancelled due to a COVID lockdown?

In the event of the Queensland government announcing a lockdown due to COVID, all camp fees will be fully refunded.

Our unique, fun-based programs aim to foster an appreciation for world languages and cultures.
